Burnin' Sensations has two pieces of rack gear that give them their
signature sound.
These units are wired up in series....The more flashing lights the better we sound.
The italicized labels on the bottom unit skews the output to the right for vintage
unbalanced sound. In addition, both bandwidth and transient response are improved.
We found this to be at least as effective as point-to-point wiring but
less costly. All the knobs are maxed out so the lights stay on all the time.
New Product Preview
A stereo point-to-point wired version of our Sonic Enhancer with a new font will be released soon under
our Rack Rat® label. It will also incorporate other obsolete
technologies to augment its market appeal. An unbalanced configuration
is utilized to ensure 60 Hertz hum at -10 dB. Signal isolation will be
achieved by writing the signal to dual genuine Edison foil disk
recorders and then replaying the signals using the megaphone equipped
styli into Bell Telephone® carbon microphones. Dry cell batteries are
utilized to ensure true vintage Bell Telephone® sound quality. All
wiring will be cloth insulated ensuring the coveted deterioration of
performance over the years. All potentiometers are unsealed wire wound
types with unplated wipers for that time-honored crackle. Use of these
technologies provides the obvious benefits with the unexpected
enhancement of unpredictable imaging due to the variable nature of the
above mentioned technologies. To ensure no further alteration of the
sound and to enable the product to carry the "digital" insignia the
signal will pass through dual 24-bit Burr Brown A/D converters and be
routed through SPDIF output. Final stages will be 24-bit D/A converters
attached to the XLR output connectors.
